SFSU Bike To School Day, April 22, 2009

Bike to School Day is organized by the Bicycle Advocacy Group at SFSU and ECO Students. All events will take place on the quad.

Bike to School Day Schedule of Events

Present your SFSU ID and show your helmet at Mojo Cafe, 639-A Divisidero Street, any time on Bike to School Day for a free cup of coffee!

7:00am-10:00am Group bike rides to/from campus
(various locations)

7:30am-5:30pm Secure Valet Bike Parking in the Quad
Cyclists will have a chance to win awesome PRIZES!

7:30am-3:00pm FREE FOOD (quad)
Breakfast 7:30 and 9:00
Lunch 11:30 and 1:00
Food provided by Colleges of Science and Engineering, Health and Human Services, and Behavioral and Education. Say thank you to Deans Don Taylor, Sheldon Axler, and Jacob Perea when you see them!

11:00am – 2:00pm FREE Minor Bike Repairs by Sports Basement and the Bike Kitchen (quad)

FREE bicycle (support Ocean Cyclery, your local bike shop at 1935 Ocean Avenue, because they support you!) A new bicycle will be given away to a lucky person who writes an short essay (200-300 words) about why they would like to go car-free for a year. The winner commits to going car-free for a year and writing a blog about the experience!!!

12:00 and 4:00 Bike Games and Contests
Foot down, U-lock horseshoes
Sexy bike & Ugly Betty bike contest

6:00pm Group ride to after-party (meet at 19th and Holloway)
